Seems to be just a case of commons sense, ie: picking the right platform for the right project. Wordpress STILL has its place, and you are forgteting about the end-user … that’s what WP is really geared up for… I have sites for old ladies who bake cakes, nursing homes, architects, SME’s and record producers, all who love the WP environment so they can update their sites easily. BUT I would never use it for more complex jobs. You have to know when, and when not, to use it.
