BIG Words: Moral and Ethical Duties and Such…

There are people out there who need you.

Really need you.

So if you have something for sale that can truly solve problems, I consider it your moral and ethical duty to make that known to those people who have the problems you can solve.

You are able to help others?

Then dude and/or chica, get off your couch, and get yourself in front of others please, quick-smart. Seriously.

People have struggles, problems, insecurities, they lack knowledge and confidence and resources.

And they’re constantly looking for solutions to fill those gaps, to learn and practice and sell and grow.

Those people you’re looking for — they’re out there looking for you

Maybe you paint, teach, write, or create design — maybe you are a UX expert or SEO genius — it doesn’t matter.

There are people out there who need exactly what you do.

And they need it from YOU.

Not from somebody else.

If only they would know about you, and if you’d present yourself and your work in the right way, they’d hire you in a heartbeat.

Problem is, most people run their business with the shutters down.

Like a baker who bakes delicious bread, and all his neighbors are hungry.

Except, the door is closed and the windows are shuttered.

Not much good then, baking that bread.

Most online businesses are like that.

They don’t broadcast ‘open for business’, they don’t communicate reasons to trust, they (most common error) don’t ask for the sale…

And if you don’t look, feel, sound open for business… you won’t get any business.

What about you?

Are you communicating your offer, the features and the benefits, and the reasons you’re ok to do business with?

Are you encouraging people to consider being your client? (Also known as asking for the sale).

Do you present your offer and the benefits (Tasty bread — quells hunger) in a way that people see and recognize as the solution they want to pay for?

Chances are, you could do more. We all could.

Me, I’d like to write emails 3 times a day, instead of just one. (Don’t worry, I won’t.)

But I’d like to, because with my work I solve problems. And I’d love to see more people benefit from my work and sell more as a consequence of it.

You come to me with low sales? Then I will fix that. It’s my duty.

Just like it’s my duty to state for all to see: “More sales? Inquire within”.

And, correct me if I’m wrong, it’s your duty as well to show up, and tell folk:

“I fix this type of problem. Costs that much. Purchase here”.

Not being salesy, mind you — simply being available and visible to the people who need your solution.

Because, you know, they need you

What do you think: Shall we get your message and marketing tuned, so that your prospects can find you, and recognize you as the problem solver you are?

So that people will actually come to you and pay you for it…
That’s what you get when you hire a stellar copywriter to create emails, salespages or landing pages.
