Anyone of us can look up the cause and effect of fascism, we don’t really need another view. What we need are solutions and for the life of me, I don’t see any here. I don’t believe Americans are so ignorant as to be unaware of what fascism is; I believe it’s more a word people use as an epithet to hurl at opponents. It’s very misused much as racist is. Further, Capitalism, in my opinion, does not promise wealth, it does, however, promise opportunity and if one is unable to fulfill his or her ambitions, any normal person will fall back on reasonable expectation. Of course, there will always be a certain discontent, as that is human nature, but I doubt that the failure of wealth is the overriding reason for the discontent of some Americans feel at this time. I think it’s more the lack of power for those that feel Pres. Trump shouldn’t be the elected leader of the U.S., after all, what can merely a businessman know of running a country irrespective of his success in turning the country around to a position unseen in many years. With unemployment at a 50 year low, the poor and disenfranchised are once again able to hope for the American dream.
