I’m building a new User Experience team at Virgin Atlantic (updated)

What’s the deal?

In November of 2017 I joined Virgin Atlantic as Head of User Experience & Optimisation. The Digital team has new leadership, a new strategy and a very aggressive plan for growth. We have set out on a mission to create a world class UX team and I’m super excited to say that it’s my role to build the team.

What are you looking for?

I’m hiring the following:

  • Digital Product Designers x3 (roles filled)

Experience of working within travel would be beneficial, but I’m more interested in bright individuals who want to be part of the journey to build a new team, whilst creating digital experiences for one of the world’s most loved brands.

Unfortunately these roles don’t have relocation funds, so we need people who are eligble to work in the UK and able to work from our VHQ offices.

What will the team be doing?

This team will be responsible for the entire digital experience. From booking a flight to check-in kiosks. From boarding a plane to in-flight entertainment. The whole spectrum of customer facing interactions will be yours to own and optimise. The digital team has been charged with bringing rigour to the Virgin Atlantic digital estate e.g. corporate blog, online careers site and marketing campaign sites. So there is a lot to keep you busy.

As most of these roles have not existed at Virgin Atlantic before there will also be an amount of setting up working practices, tools and organising workfllows.
