Dr. Abdul Kalam education

Education was very important even in the time of Dr. Abdul Kalam. In this too, the coverage of educational institutions was slightly larger than other states in South India. There are primary schools in almost every place. Parents also insist that their child complete primary education. Normal children also go to primary school. There were different types of primary schools. Yet the number of public primary schools was higher. Because such schools would be more suitable for the general public.

The importance of Bal temples at that time was not as great as it is today. Although rare kindergartens are found. It is also for some classes of children i.e. the child’s learning starts after five years. There were no special rules for age. Someone is six years old.

The number of students in the class is 20 to 25. Due to the limited number of children the teacher can give enough attention to each child. His likes, dislikes, power can know everything. However, not all teachers take a keen interest in the child. Become a teacher who has not found a job anywhere else.

Both Ramaswamy and Abdul lived nearby. Both spent childhood together. Now it’s time to go to elementary school. Both parents decided to put the Bay brothers in the same public primary school. Seeing a good day, both the parents enrolled in a nearby primary school. Slate, pen and a small bag were needed to go to school. This also got fattened. Ram Swami’s father brought two slates, a pen and a bag. You need good clothes to go to school. Clothes were also sewn by a tailor there. The two students who were going to primary school got ready.

The two grabbed each other’s fingers and started walking towards school. Initially no big one he goes to drop. In fact, it was Abdul’s grandfather who preferred to go to school. Bring back in time to release. Within a week, they both knew which way to go. Getting out of school also made sense. So when Nishal leaves, both of them come straight home. Why didn’t you come No need to worry about such a household. Nishal was not far away.

In Jyotsna, when the two brothers came to the fourth standard, there was an occasion in the school which Abdul Kalam remembered for the rest of his life. If he remembers that day even today, a grief comes to his eyes and even sheds two tears.

It so happened that a conservative Brahmin teacher tilaked his forehead. Limitations can be seen in his personality too. The teacher came to teach in the fourth grade. A Muslim and a Brahmin boy were sitting side by side on the bench. Both were beyond Hindu-Muslim, mosque or temple. Both were studying Dahyadmara. Despite sitting together, there was no misconduct. They didn’t even talk inside. The two were from different communities, that’s all there was to the difference.

The scene caught the eye of a Brahmin teacher. Abdul, who was sitting on the bench, looked at him and said, “ Abdul, you get up from there. Go and sit on the last bench. From now on you have to sit there every day.”

“Why should I sit there?” Where does the gentleman Abdul have the courage to ask? Came to study in the next standard, but no previous teacher had ever made such a decision. Even before Abdul sat behind him, Ramaswamy started filling the dooska. Tears were flowing from Abdul’s eyes on this side as well. This was the first time that the two, who were together in every matter, had parted in such an insulting manner in the presence of other students. The tears had no effect on the teacher’s mind. His shield of conservatism was very strong. The teacher hash in his mind! Began to teach, the rays of the sun coming from the window were falling on the mouths of these two students. As if the tears from them have become pearls and are not healing!

The clothes of the teacher were such that no student could dare to see Abdul crying behind him. He saw Ramaswami sitting in front of him crying. Satisfied to see him.
