I’m a believer in Alan Weiss’ “One Percent Solution” — the concept that if you aim to improve your business (or yourself) by 1% each day, in only 70 days you’ll be twice as good as you are now. This begins with small steps. Pick one thing you want to get better at, and do it every day.
Downsizing my life is making me take stock of the situation. And ask — about every item — do I need this? Do I want this? If so, why? What would my life without this be like? How would I feel about myself if I didn’t have this? How would I feel if I gave this away?
