As an American Muslim, this was a good reality check for me as well. Muslims are alike everywhere.

Truth be told, I probably would have been one of those people that would have tried not to stare, then upon being caught staring, would have flashed an extra wide smile.

And it’s funny because this is the first time I realize that people stare at me and overcompensate the same way.
