Old Diary Entries
I was throwing away some boxes in my room containing old photos, letters, and elementary school homework when I found a diary from back in the day. I decided to throw away everything and keep the diary. Some excerpts from when I was 12 and 13 years old:
Today I had fun in school. I think I looked pretty today, because I had my hair in a pony tail. Today in math I actually did good! Well, bye! See ya!
Today school was fun! I just wish that the world wasn’t so violent and everybody was nice to each other! Guess what, right now I was watching Ace Ventura! It is so funny! Well, bye! See ya!
Today I had so much fun. I first went to Iranian school, that wasn’t fun, although then I went to my best friend’s house. We had so much fun! A girl named Jordan was there, she is five, she was so much fun to play with! Anyways, tomorrow I am going skating with my other friend, or I may go alone. Well, bye! See ya!
I love school. My life has gotten so good. I like my friend [name omitted), although I don’t want to talk in class and she talks. How can I tell her to stop? Anyways, I’m going to write a poem:
You’re red, purple, pink, and white, I think you’re outasite.
You bloom in, you bloom out, that’s what a flower’s all about.
You plant it, you smell it, you touch it
But, please, don’t kill my flower!
Yesterday I went to a party and it was great. We played spin the bottle. It was fun! Then we danced, played, and went crazy! I had a great time! We had pizza. Well, bye!
Today I went to my step grandparents’ house. It was great. We had lots of fun. We watched a movie named Coneheads. We ate and, oh yeah, it was my step dad’s birthday. I got him a Stephen King book! My mom got him a sweater! It was great! Bye!
I didn’t write to you for a long time. A lot of stuff has happened. 2 or 3 weeks ago my step grandfather died from a heart attack. It was so sad. But, time has gone by and I have to forget it.
Guess what? I made it on the basketball team.
Right now I’m in North Bay with my dad. So far it has been fun. I think I’m getting sick though! Yesterday we arrived here. My mom’s not here! Parents are divorced. Yesterday we went to the Arcade Place and it was so fun. I’m staying here for the whole summer. We are going canoeing and camping. Well, bye for now!
I’m having a great time in North Bay! Guess what?? I got my period! I got it on July 24th. It finished today. The canoeing trip was fun. I couldn’t go swimming because of my period.
