Dear Patience Jonathan, Why didn’t you use that money for Bayelsa?
Do you remember Pablo Escobar? That Drug Lord from Columbia. Well, with all those drugs and all those crime he committed, he fought for the poor, less privileged, widows and orphans.(Building houses, hospitals and paying for children’s welfare).
Now, just the other day, I spoke with my mother — who currently resides in Bayelsa — and as a daughter, I couldn’t stand her tears while she was complaining about unpaid hospital bills and salary.
The once bubbling and fast growing economy of Bayelsa is in a state of agony and distress.
Why wasn’t that money used for building people’s lives?
Why wasn’t that money used for helping orphans and widows?
Now, I know it’s wrongful to take what’s not yours, but if that money was used for the good of the people of Bayelsa, I bet she would be justified (in a way).
The hotel is estimated for a whooping sum of 10 billion Naira.
It’s a shame because, I’ve actually visited the hotel but it looked to me with just a building, staff and no customers. Which means, the hotel itself isn’t making any profit.
