In world where I get to raise my daughter since infancy with no father, I’d like to think that there are some men out there who I can take some cues from. With this story perhaps I can.
I try to explain to my daughter, who is 14 and heading right into the most dangerous years, a whole list of qualities which she should steer clear of versus a whole list of qualities she should find and cherish.
I, myself, am very bitter and scorned. At 34, with my plethora of bad luck, and nearly a decade of being single, have given up, but I have never wanted to impress my scorn upon her. I have always wanted to give love a fair chance. I do; however, warn her of males who are on the hunt, and I don’t deny her the education of what boys will say to persuade her to succumb to them, but upon reading your article, it is refreshing to know that some guys can recognize their faults and even turn their faults into a commendable lifestyle.
Great job so far, Dad. Thank you for your service to our country and thank you for your honesty.
