That was so blissfully UNinformative! Thank you for not TEACHING me anything! ❤️❤️ (You don’t know me, so let me clarify that I’m complimenting you, and quite sincerely.) Not only did you say something that NEEDED to be said (and read), you also made me feel quite validated:
The other day when I started to write something with an air of authority I realized mid-sentence that I had no idea what the fuck I was talking about! (Okay, sure, maybe SOME idea, but not MUCH. ) But rather than deleting my hypothesis altogether, I chose instead to just add the disclaimer “I have no idea what I’m talking about.” Quite freeing, really. 🤓
I’ve never had patience for writing about writing or plays about plays or movies about movies. And I reeeeeeeally hate it when food does that… like when a chocolate cake* is all self-reflective and meta?
It just seems really indulgent to me to write about “process,” so I tend to not attempt it. BUT! I wrote a thing the other day that was sorrrrt of about process. I’m okay with it though because I wrote it by accident. (It was a Facebook comment gone wild that somehow became a prologue to a book I want to write.)
I guess my process is to trick myself into writing by telling myself I’m just gonna write a thank you note to a writer on medium.

So THANK YOU!
*Not true. I never hate cake.
