This was a wonderful read, so thank you. And for what it’s worth, I’m a fiercely liberal, lifelong democrat who has always respected your grandfather… a GREAT deal. Even if he HADN’T been in the military, he just strikes me as a man of principles, unshakable character, and (for lack of a better word) CLASS. I’ve watched and admired his repeated attempts to get more media coverage on the war-torn children in Syria, and of course for standing up to the bigot in his town hall back in ‘08, when she said blatant untruths about Obama on his microphone. “No ma’am. No ma’am…” he said. And I said, “Yes sir. Yes sir!” I think he’s quite a guy. :-)
