Airbnb’s racism problem is much bigger than a few racist hosts.

My husband and I are currently traveling and living in Airbnb’s as we look for a new city to live in.

We decided for the first time to rent a “private room”, instead of an “entire home” in the Seattle area after not being able to find anything remotely in our $55 a night budget.

We were hesitant about sharing a living space, but we are really enjoying the fresh eggs from her chickens, playing with her puppy, and swapping travel stories and hearing from a local what is like to live here.

Your article is very interesting, touching on the sterile environment that multi-hosters tend to create, which I have experienced notably in Bangkok.

I am encouraged to be more selective about my bookings! Thank you!
