Before and After Pictures
We familiar with the ‘before and after’ pictures that are used by retailers, make up artists and weight loss companies to show the advantages of their products. We see someone looking far from their best, next to a stunning image that celebrates their beauty. Whilst the products aid this transformation, we don’t need radical or expensive treatments to look and feel our best.
The ‘Before’ Shot
Rather than start a restrictive diet or spend out on a miracle cream, why not invest some time in creating your own before and after picture. Start by taking your before picture. If you really want to see a difference, snap yourself first thing in the morning; bleary eyed, unbrushed hair and make up free.
The Preparation
Now, it’s time to get started on the ‘after’ version. Firstly, a long soak in the bath or refreshing shower is a great place to start. Hair washed, legs shaved and skin exfoliated, it’s time to dry off and apply some moisturising cream for smooth finish.
At this stage it can be a great idea to apply a high quality fake tan. Modern fake tan is a relatively instant way to get an even, natural application of colour onto your skin. By finding a tone that adds radiance to your usual colour, fake tan, like that provided by Sienna-X, can help you to look healthier and feel more confident. Fake tan also means that you don’t have to worry about covering strap marks that are often a result of sun bathing and it comes without the associated health risks.
With your skin in top condition, it’s time to focus on your hair. With a bit of time spent on styling, we can all make the most of our natural style. If you really want a radical transformation, an appointment at the hair dressers can be a great way to modernise your look. If so, opt for a cut that is straight forward for you to maintain at home.
A touch of make up can help to enhance our features, adding colour to our cheeks, lengthening our lashes and showing off our lips. With a dab of concealer and a great foundation, we can also hide blemishes and other minor imperfections.
It’s time to get dressed. We all have certain clothes in our wardrobe that makes us feel good. It might be a classic dress that can be easily accessorised to suit a full range of occasions, a suit that gives you confidence in business meetings and interviews or a top that reminds you of a fabulous holiday and always makes you smile. No matter what you intend to do today, put on your favourite outfit and feel fabulous.
The ‘After’ Shot
The finishing touches might include a pair of heels, a coat of nail varnish and a beautiful necklace, but the essential final detail has to be a smile. Now it’s time for your ‘after’ photo.
Compare the two; with a little personal pampering you can look considerably more youthful, radiant, shapely and stylish. Making the most of your natural appearance is really worth the effort and far more enjoyable than a relentless exercise routine or obsessive dieting!
