…I also keep the old typewriter “casually” and plan to dust it off and play with it some day when I’m given the gift of a curious grandchild. That machine was a gift from my father in 1978, and I still have the 3.5 x 6.5 hand held calculator he bought for me in 1974. Miracles of technology back then are not comparable to the way Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” have stood the test of time.
