Why I only listen to ‘Soft Rock’ in August

As a mom who is still alive, thank you on behalf of my children who continue to play and sing “Muskrat Love” and “Brandy, You’re a Fine Girl” for me when they know I’ve been apologizing to generations below me for the “unfortunate music of the mid-seventies” for many, many years.

On the other hand, I hope they will play Carole King’s “You’ve Got A Friend” at my memorial service and bury my ashes beneath a hummingbird plant.
