Amazeballz Stories Day 10/100: What Record Do You Keep Playing?

Life is a series of programs — like records we play over and over again.
Do you experience this?
Cycle One
- I feel judged (real or imaginary).
- In response, I judge back.
- To be fair (because I love to be fair) - I judge myself too.
- I feel unworthy
- To be fair, I feel others are unworthy.
- I find lots of unworthiness, all around me.
- Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Cycle Two
- I remember that I cannot be a creator and a critic at the same time.
- When I notice myself judging, I pattern interrupt. I breathe. I accept. I suspend judgement.
- To be fair, I look for ways to accept myself too.
- I look for awesomeness (excellence) in the world and when i see it i celebrate it.
- To be fair, I celebrate the awesomeness in me.
- I find lots of awesomeness, all around me.
- Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

I choose my cycle every day.
Let’s get real. The second cycle is harder. The second cycle requires mindfulness and a willingness to stop being “right”.
But when I remember to choose cycle two, my life is both more effective AND happier.
I choose cycle two. I choose to accept and love.
I choose it today and I will choose it again tomorrow.
Side note: I welcome you to remind me that I prefer cycle two, because sometimes I run the old pattern — as it is very well worn in my subconscious.
