Water is often considered as the most overlooked component in our daily diet, yet it is the most vital component. Our bodies are made of 79% water, thus showing the importance of water in our bodies.

Here are some roles of water in our body

  1. Regulation body temperature

Water plays a crucial role in supporting body temperature regulation. This is because it aids in processes such as sweating and respiration which ensures stable internal temperature crucial for homeostasis.

2. Transporting nutrients and oxygen

Water aids greatly when it comes to transportating nutrients and oxygen throughout the body. This is because blood is made up of 90% water thus improving it’s transportive ability.

3. Removal of waste products

Through urine, perspiration and bowel movements water helps in eradicating waste from the body. This helps to prevent toxin accumulation in the body.

4. Mood improvement

Research has shown that taking water helps in mood maintenance. This is because it helps maintain mental clarity, emotional stability and improve overall cognitive performance.

Lastly, it is clear that water is very crucial in our bodies. This is due to it’s benefits such as body temperature regulation, nutrients and oxygen transportation, removal of body waste and also mood improvement. Thus let’s make taking water a routine in our daily life.
