Maybe the history I learned in school is progressive, I don’t know. At this point, I’m not sure what to think or to believe. I am fairly strong in history, but it seems it was the Democratic administrations that did wonderful, and yes progressive, things for the United States. They helped the everyday person live a better quality life. Republican administrations were all about keeping the status quo of whatever time it was and doing wonderful, remarkable foreign policy feats.
However, when I once compared historical notes with a conservative friend, she always had an answer for the human relief found in Democratic administration action. Either the Republican response would have been far greater in relieving human suffering, or the suffering was of a limited type that would have quickly passed. So there really was no social gain.
Today, I truly don’t know what to think of all the blue collar workers who think that Trump is the answer. On the other side, I don’t know what to think of the well educated conservatives who think they can control a President Trump. No one’s been able to control him to this point.
What is everyone thinking? And, why are they thinking what they are thinking?
