Waves was first launched using the Scorex codebase which was developed by Alexander Chepurnoy who knew Sasha Ivanov from their time together at Nxt. Alexander is now also using Scorex to launch his own platform called Ergo https://ergoplatform.org.

What’s interesting is that Alexander is a project manager for Scorex at Charles Hoskinson’s IOHK, who as you may know is developing Cardano.

So from following leaders in the industry and considering the fall out Vitalik had with Charles, I’m leaning more towards supporting Waves being a more efficient and useful platform over Ethereum, simply because of Waves historical connections which I imagine would influence their development choices.
