PNW Tech Conferences (2016)

Conferences are a great way to network, learn, and socialize in the tech world. There has been an explosion in the number and variety of conferences in recent years. If you’re like me and want to jump in, and you’re in the Pacific Northwest of North America — here’s a list of area events that I’ve found. CascadiaFest

Blaine, WA (August 3 — August 5) $800 ($275 per day)

CascadiaFest is a three-day, community-driven conference on the cutting edge of JavaScript and CSS. Browser, server, OS — we cover it all.

An experimental festival celebrating independently-produced art and technology.

CppCon

Bellvue, WA (September 18 — September 23) $995

CppCon is the annual, week-long face-to-face gathering for the entire C++ community. The conference is organized by the C++ community for the community.

AlterConf

Portland, OR (Sat. October 1, 10am — 5pm) $25–$150

AlterConf is a traveling conference series that provides safe opportunities for marginalized people and those who support them in the tech and gaming industries
