Ethically exhausted?

I have a similar dilemma in relation to my professional life. By day I am defender of the environment, with responsibility for administering the resource management act. In the weekend I can often me found tearing up a natural habitat on a dirt bike or 4wd. I feel a sense of responsibly to use public transportation when I can, and I actually really enjoy it on a whole heap of levels. But not as much as I enjoy motor racing, which is immensely wasteful and epitomizes everything that is bad about motoring generally. It could be called hypocrisy, and many will think that of me. I am actually okay with it, and to me it feels very Zen. It gives me a whole different level of understanding each side of the environmentalism debate. So long as I keep the ledger in the positive, I’m happy knowing that on balance, I’m doing my part.
