I hate the term “CEO of the product”, it makes us PMs just sound like power-hungry wannabes rather than students of our own discipline. It sounds like a term invented to attract MBA grads rather than something actually useful.

When I’m asked to describe what I do I always go with “it’s my job to make sure we’re building the right thing” and then try to move the conversation to be about the actual products rather than me!
