Who am I?

My name is Mason Ping, I am 20 years old and from Forster NSW. I am an SLSO at a senior high school and I primarily help students in year 12 that are aiming to attain their HSC.

During this course I am excited to learn more about blogging using things like Twitter, as it is very new to me. I am also eager to learn how to bring technology into a classroom for my future students and be able to teach interactively through this technology.

My reason to become a teacher is to help others. My job has put me in a position to experience the hardships students face when coming from a disadvantaged background, or lack in basic fundamentals of education. Many of my current students, who are aged between 16 and 18, have literacy and numeracy skills of a primary school student. I decided I want to make a difference for future students where their education starts and stems from, in primary school.
