Peaceful environment and harmonious relationship among people belonging to different religious beliefs and political ideologies are inevitable for their sustainable development. In spite of all positive gains of peace and harmony, known to all, the twin continue to face turbulence inflicting harmful effects on generation to generation and environmental degradation. Libraries are full of literature, since writing began, about moral values, victory of truthful life and rewards from service to humanity yet; human beings ignore them for the sake of establishing superiority over other fellow beings which is temporary and endanger both fauna and flora. Once the peace is disturbed and hateted begins; restoration takes much longer time. In some cases it persists when the interested groups continue to disturb the environment of coexistence.

It is well known fact that human beings are brothers and sisters whichever the route of their creation/evolution is taken into account. Gradually, they spread to farthest places since time immemorial and many of these places are even unknown even today. Their different skins, food habits, dialects, social and cultural patterns took place depending upon relief features which also have gone through numerous changes. Then the pertinent question why such type of rivalry be there among the brothers and sisters? It becomes important to identify the causes and ascertain solutions for the uncongenial environment retarding the progress and welfare of society/ies at large.

The attitude of one establishing superiority over others appear to be basic reason while one should have the positive attitude treating everybody equally and rendering services to fellow human beings. Justice, equal opportunities and equitable distribution depending upon one’s caliber are prerequisites for peace and harmony going together in a smooth manner. There is no such concept as free lunch. The rewards should be according to one’s contribution to national output. The group of fellow beings remaining behind due to one reason or the other such as handicapped brothers and sisters etc should be taken care of by initiating programmes for their upliftment. There should be competitive environment meaning thereby only those working hard to compete, given equal opportunities, go through for better positions to serve society with their full calibre treating others on equal footing. The greatness of the people should be on the basis of their good deeds beneficial to humanity rather than one’s place of birth or belonging to particular group or region.
