How I passed AWS CCP Exam with 95% score in one week?
In this article, I am telling my story of how I was able to ace the AWS CCP (Certified Cloud Practitioner) exam with one week of studying.
What and How Did I Study?
Disclaimer: I had around 6 months of trivial experience working with AWS. I would say that even if you don’t have that, most likely you will be fine if you follow this path.
After crawling the web for various resources to study for AWS CCP, I ended up using two courses, which proved to be very effective and useful: [NEW] Ultimate AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner — 2020 by Stephane Maarek and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner 500 Practice Exam Questions by Neal Davis in Udemy. You can find their links below:
My plan was to finish Stephane’s course in 5 days (2.5 hours of the course content per day), followed by 1.5 days of Neal’s practice exams, and take the exam on the 7th day. Fortunately, I was able to stay on track and take the exam on the 7th day.
So how did I study? I followed Stephane’s course first and took some notes as I was watching. I made sure I revise my notes at least twice, depending on how confident I was with the specific topic. Then, I took the practice exams and I was able to score at least 80% at each of the practice exams. So if you are able to score at least 80% at each of the practice exams, you are ready for the exam.
Finally, after studying and practicing the exams, I booked the exam on the 7th day’s morning for its afternoon. This was a great blessing that PearsonVUE provides online-proctored exams with lots of availabilities that you can book as late as 1 hour before the exam (could vary by day). 2 days after the exam, I received my score sheet which revealed my score: 949/1000, as shown below:
