Nice article, but the importance of reading for a writing professional can’t be overstated. Even if you write only the shortest sentences, the whole process boils down to reading, writing, re-reading, re-writing.
Reading books (or any kind) is the core exercise for being an effective writer (or any kind).
I’m sorry you hate reading, but I’ll suggest you a book anyway: try “Open”, from Andrè Agassi. In the book he states numerous times he hates tennis.
I think you can find some common ground there :)
