Totally agree. Building a platform for media is not an easy task: software companies (better, tech companies) should focus on the boring (but vital) parts — database, metadata, scalability, performance, etc. — and leave the front-end part totally open and malleable, to allow the development of new, innovative presentations for great content. We’re building exactly that thing, I’ll keep you posted.
