Send a Greeting Message Before Initiating A Match Request!

Overview

First impressions last a lifetime which makes it critically that more important to open any initial exchange, with as much warmth and positivity as possible. The idea of a friendly welcome has inspired our latest feature addition: Greeting Messages, gives users the ability to create a custom introductory message to be sent between themselves and potential matches. The feature itself isn’t required in order to successfully match, but we immensely advocate for its use. Below is a guide for how you can send your first greetings.! Good luck and match on!

How it works

Requirement checklist:

• Access Matchpool via your web browser.
• Join a pool.

Great, you’re all set and ready to meet your match!

1. From Matchpool’s homepage, select the “chat” icon next to your user profile image: Hint: it’s which is located on the top right-hand side portion of the screen.

2. Once you’ve been redirected, select the “Introduce Me” tab. Here, you can initiate a match between yourself and another Matchpool user who’s also in the same pool.

3. Select the user you would like to be matched with. You can only request introductions to users who are in a mutual pool.

4. Once you’ve found a user you’d like to be matched with, you can begin to write your greeting message. Make sure to select “Show Original Message” so the user can see what you’ve written.

Note: We recommend that you don’t send any sensitive information such as passwords, credit card information or other private information in your greeting message.

5. Your message will be sent to the owner of the pool you both belong to and. The pool owner can approve the match and connect you with the user.

With the addition of the Greeting Message feature, Matchpool offers users the ability to send a warm opening message to potential Matches. A well thought-out welcome message could make the difference between a successful match-made-in-heaven or just another missed opportunity.
