Reward compelling content Matchpool’s latest feature: Message Tipping !
Overview
Social networks are chock-full of interesting, entertaining and compelling content from people hailing from all over the world. However, so much of this content is not nearly as acknowledged or rewarded as it should. At Matchpool, we decided to change this unfortunate reality and deployed a tipping option on our web platform. The new tipping feature allows users to “tip” content they deem to be worthwhile with Guppy tokens. By allowing greater content creation and curation! Since quality content on Matchpool is now not only socially rewarding, but also holds within it the potential for financial reward, we believe users will be motivated to post quality content on the Matchpool platform!
How it works
Requirement checklist:
- Access Matchpool using your web browser.
- Add an Ethereum address to your account. *Make sure this is your account and you’re not sharing it with another user.
- Join or create a pool.
Now that you’ve completed the requirements, you can start tipping!
- First, pop over to a pool you would like to view content in. You can find a list of pools you’re a member by selecting your profile icon and heading to “My Pools”.
2. Once you’ve selected a pool to view, pan over to the “Chat” tab. You’ll be greeted by the public chat window, where you can view messages posted from other users and even post one of your own.
3. Once you’ve found a message worth tipping, tap the designated icon to initiate a tip being given to the poster.
Note: If the poster whose message you’re trying to tip doesn’t have an Ethereum address associated with their account, they will receive an email from us reminding them to setup an Ethereum address to receive a tip.
Fantastic! You’re now ready to start rewarding quality content on Matchpool! Be sure to invite your friends to join in on the action!
Conclusion
With the addition of the Messaging Tipping feature, we’re excited to see great, compelling content posted on our platform finally receive the rewards they deserve. Social capital is great, but allowing users to benefit financially from their posts adds an entirely new dimension to how users create content.
