As one of the famous “Inklings” at Oxford back in the 30's and 40’s which also included J.R.R. Tolkien and Charles Williams, Lewis always seemed like an interesting writer, whose curious mix of intellectualism and “religion” has some relevance even today. And he once remarked that to overcome his atheism, education and the many apparent contradictions in Christianity, he had to “surrender” and “will” himself to have “faith”.
