Super Tuesday was yesterday. The republican turn-out reached record numbers. The democratic turn-out fell below 2008 numbers. Even with the republican establishment denouncing Trump, it’s YOU who will guarantee his presidential victory.
Your complaints over institutionalized racism, militarized police brutality, mass incarceration, global warming, war, fracking, mass shootings, student debt— when Trump is president, you lose your right to complain about any of them.
Just by being an American citizen, you live in supreme luxury compared to most of our human family. You are a member of the most influential and powerful pooulations in the history of the world. Our elected leaders influence the the bombs that drop, the oil that spills, the animals that go extinct, and the human rights of every citizen in every nation.
Trump has every right to be Trump, and these past few months have proven an terrifying reality: Trump’s popularity does not depend on his despicable attitude, half-baked political views or even his endorsement from the KKK. It depends entirely on you. You, the person who isn’t interested in politics, who has decided to turn your attention inward and block out the rest of us, while we remain in fear of our own tap water.
