We can imagine and create new things that didn’t exist before we imagined them. This is what creativity is all about: the human ability to think up ideas that have never been thought of before.

One of the things that separate us from other living beings is our creativity. We can imagine and create new things that didn’t exist before we imagined them. This also creates a sense of self-worth and pride in what we’ve created.

Art, at least in its traditional sense, has always been a medium for our imagination. It reflects on humanity and how we imagine ourselves as individuals and a species. But AI art has completely changed what it means to be creative, by using algorithms to generate images based on data inputted by humans. Does Art remain as a human creation? Artificial intelligence is being used to create artworks now.

But what is art? Art is the expression of our emotions, vision, soul, imagination, creativity, and humanity. It’s our history that has been passed down from generation to generation through the storytelling of a mental state.

In its simplest form, art is a way for us to connect with others. It allows us to feel emotions through another person’s story and empathize with their struggles.

Art is one of the most important aspects of our lives.

Art has been around for thousands of years, since before humans were even civilized enough to build houses or wear clothes. While it’s always been part of human culture and civilization, there are still many things about art that we don’t know yet.

Art is one of the things that separates us from other living beings. It’s a human creation, a reflection of our humanity, and an expression of who we are as a species. Art is a way for us to connect with others, experience emotions, and be creative.

Art is one of the most important aspects of our lives. It is a way to express ourselves, our feelings, and our creativity. We do art because it makes us happy, it makes us feel good about ourselves, and helps us connect with people who see things or live their lives in similar ways to how we do. This can be seen through different types of art; such as music, painting, or sculpture amongst others.

Art as a human performance

Art is a human creation. It’s a human expression and a response to our surroundings — a reflection of us as individuals at this moment, in this place.

To do this successfully, we have to know what it feels like ourselves; otherwise, we can’t truly understand the experience of an artist or anyone else who has gone through something similar. Art gives us a glimpse into the lives of other people so that we can better understand our existence on Earth. Can AI do that?

Artificial intelligence is being used to create artworks

Nowadays, how, ever this wonderful experience has been replaced by fear: fear that machines will take over everything, including creativity which would mean that humans would lose control over their creations due to lack thereof…

Recently, many Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms have improved considerably their performance, today we have a humanlike piece of art generated artificially. So, what would happen to art?

Does Art remain a human creation?

In the future, many artists will be replaced by AI and machines. But does Art remain human creation?

Art is a tool that helps us express our emotions and thoughts. Art is a reflection of our humanity. It’s a way for us to connect with others. It’s also a way for us to express ourselves in ways we couldn’t otherwise do in daily life, especially when we’re not skilled at drawing or painting or sculpting or making music or writing poetry, etc…

From technical skills to creativity skills

It might be different from what many people are expecting, it is possible that with AI the era of technology in art ends, so you won’t need to learn a lot of years to improve your skills. With AI you could easily have a realistic shape of what you are imagining, isn’t this still creativity? You still choose how it would like and what items or objects want to emphasize, and what kind of emotion you want to express to follow a full story of sentiments. AI might get rid of technical skills but not creativity.

In an era where creating art is becoming more and more accessible, we may begin to see less of it in our everyday lives. As technology becomes more advanced, many artists would leave to train their technical skills as it is no more advantage over the others in a market.

But probably, many writers would make their books more accessible with image generation, they could try even to create short thrillers o complete movies in just a few days without having technical skills… This would happen not only for writers but any abstract information communication, lets’s recall why memes are so popular:

Picture is worth a thousand words

Market and Economy

How can we ensure that artists can continue to thrive in this new world? How will we keep our humanity from being replaced by a machine-driven society?

What about the artists’ jobs as technicians? Would they disappear? A teacher of administration once said, in a competency market the importance is not to be perfect, it is about to be faster than others. With this analogy:

Two persons are in a jungle and a bear appears, then one says: that bear runs faster than us, we would die. The other says; It might be faster than each of us, but I am faster than you. Leaving her friend back. :(

So, probably the most technical artist would adapt to AI generation, and those who could add just a little more value than others would brightly.

What if too many artworks are over there, and we can’t differentiate human-made from machine-made? So all the money is going to people owning AI.

Let’s see handcrafted items, they also had the same issue with an automatic process. You could buy a hat for $30 made by a human or $1 made by a machine, even with the same quality thanks to technology. What we see here is that people that buy handcrafted hats not only the product, but the idea of a human effort behind it.

So, I think it would be many “handcrafted” pieces of art, where the price is not defined by its quality but by the amount of time that artist gives it. This concept is similar to the proof of work.

New artists must show the time-lapse of how and when they were making their works. This has sometimes been shown with NFTs, where even is sold a burned picture, but the idea of something that has been worked behind around that burned piece of art remains in our minds.

*My thoughts about this topic.
