Purple light over Lihme

The cobblestones are wet from the pouring rain and empty beer cans are lying in the corners of the Cluster Square. It’s around two o’clock and some people are already sitting on the benches in front of the stage. They talk to each other as you talk to someone you know. They are friends I suppose.
The friends start to clap their hands when she is entering the stage. The blond hair is swinging from side to side when she walks. “I’m so glad that you are here, thank you for coming”. Silje Marie Schjødt, the singer in the band Lihme, looks nervous when she opens her mouth to speak; ”I have never performed at an event like this before, but it will be so much fun… hehehe”.
As soon as the band starts playing the nervousness seems to disappear. Silje is singing bright and clear to the small audience. The music that I would describe as some kind of slow acoustic pop is better than I expected. Not that I had a lot of expectations but still. There is something in her voice that makes me calm, something that makes me want to lean my head on someones shoulder for a while.
Because of the rain the audience is getting smaller and smaller as the concert goes on. It last for only 30 minutes and when Silje sings her last words there is only me and ten other young watchers left. “If you want you can listen to our new single Free Fall on Spotify”. I make a note on my phone, to remember.
