During the work with my extensive feature about Berghain (buy e-book here / read an excerpt here) I talked with german music journalist Thaddeus Herrmann about how the Berlin club scene came to life and united the people after the fall of the wall in 1989. Below you can stream or download the interview and hear interesting and fascinating stories about everything that shaped the german club scene.

Thaddeus Herrmann, born in 1972, is not only a journalist but also a dj, radio host, producer and label owner. He used to be an editor for De:Bug, a German magazine that focused on electronic music and technology. He also blogs for the German edition of technology blog Engadget and hosts the show Nightflight at Radio Fritz. Herrmann has released music as Sonic Subjunkies and Herrmann & Kleine, and also founded the labels City Centre Offices and Just Another Beat.
