Great writeup. Curious what you do with proxying requests from http to https, adding headers, gzipping, web sockets, and other tasks typically handled by the likes of NGINX. Is it still in the mix or can Cloudfront do it all? Do you host your static assets in S3? Be very cool to just use Cloudfront which is what I think you are doing… though, how do you then do this when developing locally?
