That is certainly the case for many men, but the increasing backlash against “sensitivity” and “PC paranoia” by widely respected women in academia and the sciences shows that it goes beyond just men becoming uncomfortable.

People too readily dismiss people’s feelings because they don’t share them, but on the other hand people too readily dismiss criticism of things like the censorship that is beginning to take place on college campuses.

There is a middle ground, and unfortunately it is very difficult to have a conversation about since people are so ready to lump everyone into one of the “sides”.
