The Need to Create

For some odd reason I feel compelled to create something. The urge to create anything. A blog, an e-commerce site, SOMETHING that will keep me occupied and motivated. Something where it has a direct proportion to the hours put in with the upside of creating value instead of trading time for money.

I read a stat where the Internet is made up of 90% consumers, 8% of re-creators and 2% of producers. Being part of that 2% is what separates those that use the power of the Internet to its fullest, rather than strictly being passive consumers.

How can I utilize the power of the Internet?

I’ve been reading many different ways of monetizing over the Internet — reselling products on Amazon, creating a local service business, niche websites with ads. But I can never get past the hump of doubling down, learning everything I can about a specific customer need and fulfilling it. Everything I’ve researched seems to end up being very surface level. It’s a fix or high for about a few weeks, then it dies off.

How do I get past that? I know that taking ACTION is what separates the entrepreneurs and the wantrepreneurs. Am I thinking way too long and hard about this? Should I just go and test the ideas to see what sticks?

Fundamentally — what do customers want and willing to pay for at the end of the day?

Even at the end of this blog post, I still have NO idea what and where to start..
