But is the diagram identical? I see all sorts of ostensibly logical diagrams which are in fact highly political. Whether you place “CRM” near to “compute” or near to “website” definitely changes the implication of the relationships in the topology. Ask a CTO and a CDO in the same organisation to draw that map — the relationships could be the same but the spatial arrangements very different, and that would tell us lots about how each executive saw the world.
