Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Go Ninja, go Ninja go!

After nearly three years of sipping on a cocktail of anticipation, comprising of one part wondrous excitement, two parts jaw clenching trepidation and three parts sleepless nights filled with hundreds of unanswered questions, I finally saw the new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie. Eagerly entering the cinema, my excitement to see my favourite heroes in a half shell won the fencing match against the ever growing mountain of concerns I had been accumulating. Excitement was the deserving victor.

This film oozed with nostalgia, regularly nodding it’s head at fans of all incarnations of the turtles, while applying a generous sprinkling of fresh seasoning to bring the story to a new audience. The beautifully choreographed action sequences were as fluid as flowing water. The humour was a delicious, cheesy pizza, sprinkled with flavourful toppings to keep you smiling throughout. I left the cinema feeling utterly satisfied, my manic inner child pleased, and my sceptical adult self impressed. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is a feast of fun for the whole family.
