I think you guys are wrongly interpreting the hook point of these attacks.

Your argument that a celebrity should not be involved in politics makes no sense, or that the participation of a celebrity model is as arbitrary as having a cook speak.

Putting aside that you seem to think being a model is a worthless profession, using celebrity to promote positive causes that you feel passionately about is exactly what celebrity is for. Isn’t it a better use of a celebrity’s time than hanging out in a club to up their membership?

Furthermore, Bernie’s campaign wouldn’t just put any celebrity up there and have them speak if they couldn’t speak intelligently about the campaign and the issues it addresses. So they invited her because of her celebrity, yes, but they asked her to speak because of who she is as a person. Assuming she has no relevant experience to draw from as a person is just more bias. You have no way of knowing that, nor do you know that someone whose job is politically-related necessarily has any empathy for the people they may represent, or a greater in-depth understanding of the issues. Have you ever heard some of these guys in a Congressional hearing? Some of them are dumb as fuck, and plan to stay that way. I’m pretty sure I’d be less interested in hearing what they had to say, despite their “greater experience”. So, to me, the “relevant experience” argument is just a smokescreen.
