What is considered as an engagement in your research?

Engagement was measured by the number of times viewers had “engaged” with a video by sharing, reacting (i.e. ‘liking’ etc) and commenting. This was divided by the number of views to get to a number which was, roughly, comparable between videos. Unfortunately we were unable to use impressions as a measure as that is not information Facebook make publicly available.
