Passing on the #cmmeetup torch

After a great run as a co-founder of the Community Manager Meetup (#cmmeetup), where I was lucky enough to:

  1. Share the bill with some amazing co-founders (Dave Brown, Natalie Rodic Marsan, Lea North, Meghan Peters, Harrison Kratz, Sheena Medina — I’m looking at you).
  2. Meet a bunch a great new people (many of whom I call friends).
  3. Given the chance to help reboot the Meetup with the help of an awesome new class of leadership.

it’s come time for me to “step down” and hand the reins to the new class.

The responsibilities of regular life have become too great, and the time I have been able to devote to the Meetup has been sorely lacking, and now, firmly entrenched in mission and goals, it’s time to let the new class of leadership take the Meetup where they’d like it to go.

I’d love to wish Evan Watkins, Megan Frantz, Donal O'Conghaile, Masha D. Murakhovsky, Emily Egan and Nicole Schuman all the best in the next phase of #cmmeetup. I hope that the Meetup continues its place as a great way for social pros to meet, discuss and talk about the issues that impact their daily jobs (psst, the next Meetup, is a Happy Hour happening next Wednesday, March 23, 2015), and the industry as whole (and make a few friends in the process).

Thanks for all of the fun, y’all.

Onward.
