Sack Attackers — A ridiculous, over the top, 80s sci-fi action movie.

It all starts with Ball Fondlers..

If you don’t know what Ball Fondlers is, it’s a short skit from Rick & Morty. I’ve provided a link to a YouTube clip of it —

Basically, it’s a multiverse/alien version of The A-Team or Guardians of the Galaxy essentially. Well my friends and I are huuuge Rick & Morty fans. When we first saw Ball Fondlers we immediately started pursuing turning it into a live action film.

Unfortunately there are some problems with this. Fair Use, as I’m sure you all know, is kind of a grey area, and some people would see a live action Ball Fondlers as…well you know…copyright infringement...and we don’t want to do that. So we tried relentlessly to license the name from Adult Swim. We actually managed to get into contact with someone and they wouldn’t agree to license anything and said they have no interest in it in the near future. So we’re dead in the water.

Since we’re broke, like every other amateur film maker, we were planning on crowd funding this..and the Ball Fondlers name was our ticket to success. Since that failed we had to start over. We created an all original film called Sack Attackers. It’s all original but inspired by Ball Fondlers and all the crazy antics from Rick & Morty.

We’ve done everything we can think of to prepare for our launch, to do as much as we can afford to…we even partnered with a Synthwave artist, The Encounter to score the film. The visual style of the film is similar to Kung Fury, with that 80s outrun type look. Unfortunately right before we were to launch, The Encounter was robbed at gunpoint and it completely turned around his life. I’m committed to helping him recover as much as I can by paying him a lot more than what we agreed to, but I can’t help him at all if we don’t get funded.

Please, take a look at our campaign, and if you can’t contribute financially, please at least share it with your friends and family.

Thanks everyone for your help!
