Get better, every day!
One of my main goals every day is improving myself to become better. This can go very broad: from just “running a bit further” over improving my social skills, to getting to learn a new technology.
Start your day with 1 thing you want to improve on. It’s a very workable approach to start your day.
Yesterday (I write it down the night before) I wrote down “get better at writing”. I found this open startup called: https://200wordsaday.com that could help me on this. The website challenges you to write a small article that consists of min 200 words a day. People can comment on your stories/articles. Topics are free, as long as you find them interesting.
As I’m writing this, it’s forcing me out of my comfort zone. Most opportunities for growth are beyond your comfort zone. So finding discomfort and challenging yourself to get more comfortable with it. It will provide you with new insights, people, skills,… Whatever you want it to be.
If you want to see how you are or can improve yourself, you should be more aware of your surroundings! Be more observant, tuned-in, ask questions, look at facial expressions. By implementing this you can pick up valuable feedback that you somehow missed in the past. The mirror is there, you just have to look into it!
See you tomorrow!
