Hashnest is a company owned by Bitmain technologies, offering cloud mining services since 2014.

As we all know, Bitmain is one of the major Asic production companies for various algorithms. Since then, it has managed to build a strong reputation and is now widely regarded as one of the most secure choices in the cloud mining business.

Bitmain Technologies, the company behind Hashnest, was founded in the first quarter of 2013 by Chinese investors. One of the founders is Wu Jihan. Before joining the cryptocurrency business, Wu Jian was an investment manager in a Chinese fund.

The head office is in Beijing, but they also have offices in Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv, Qingdao, Chengdu and Shenzhen.

Bitmain announced in September 2014 that it wants to acquire a mining cloud platform called snowball (snowball.io).

Hashnest’s goal was to operate in a independent way, from the hardware creation to the computing power resale to its customers, in order to build a reliable, economic and decentralized platform that serves mining enthusiasts all over the world.

Obviously, hardware used for Hashnest cloud mining contracts are realized by Bitmain company, more precisely they are Antminer models, from the most obsolete model used at the opening of the service (Antminer S3) to the most recent version (Antminer S9.)

The Hashnest platform is also equipped with a convenient smartphone app to manage your investments comfortably directly using your smartphone.

At the moment, it’s not more possible to buy computing power in a scalable way on the website, like the old packages which offer from 300 up to 12000 gh / s. Now, it is only possible to buy a complete Antminer Asic.

Of course, we have to keep in mind also the maintenance costs which are calculated every day.

Currently, it is not possible to make any contract with their service because on Hashnest website there is no hardware availability to be rented. There are three types of hardware available. Antminer s9 for bitcoin mining, Antminer s7, the model prior to Antminer s9 and Antminer l3 + (for litecoin).

What to do? Just have a look on Hashnest website waiting for updates information about new hardware availability at the customers’ disposal.

In reality, the website doesn’t seem to be updated for some time, which suggests that Bitmain is probably working mainly on branches of its company, almost certainly developing new hardware and then, inserting it into its own cloud mining service.
