Thanks for reading! It looks like your Reddit post makes the same arguments that the Daring Fireball article contained. Is there anything in particular you disagree with in my post?

I think the technical case of force-quitting being bad for battery life remains weak. Particularly around the lack of activity while inactive, and the relative cost of a cold vs warm app reactivation. There are so many levels of caching in the OS around app launch that it’s just too tough to say without more careful measurement. And I think the psychological aspects are much more important, anyways. At least, those were the main points I was trying to make.
