“purely antiabortion ideology of the GOP” As I was reading through, I figured there was some kind of political agenda. You appear to claim some moral high ground, and yet you carry the standard of an organization, who, at it’s core is dedicated to maintaining (and actually funding) the legal murder of an entire class of human beings who have no guilt and who are entirely vulnerable, not to mention the suppression of religious rights. I will respect you when you DISTANCE yourself from the party of death, which doesn’t mean you must affiliate yourself with the other flawed party, but at least have the moral sense to recognize the evil entity that is your preferred party.
I will point out however, there is a giant gap in your logic. You either don’t comprehend, or choose to ignore, that none of these debates are about who deserves to die (except among your fellow democrats who believe unborn babies do), but who deserves to live, despite the threat of another. You dismiss the violence on the part of those killed by the police in the line of duty. While it’s POSSIBLE the man in Baton Rouge (and especially in Minnesota) was not going to kill the officers if they hadn’t shot him (and investigation will hopefully reveal the truth, and BLIND justice will prevail), the overwhelming majority of cases of police shootings involve a clear choice for the officer… shoot him, or let him kill me (and other innocent victims). We can and should look closer at the causes of criminal violence, but at that moment, the officer has little option left. I would urge you, if you are a pacifist who doesn’t want to be protected by rough men willing to kill to protect you and your family… never CALL THEM.
