I recommend folks read King’s entire “On Writing.” All of the points highlighted in the article are great, but King has some really interesting granular bits on grammar, editing, finding a literary agent, etc.

The book is short (only ~270 or so pages) and if you bypass the first half (largely autobiographical, though still very interesting) it’s an even faster read.
