Am I being too literal in my reading of this sentence? It goes from “for decades” to “these days” but my perspective is that we’ve had a pretty good idea of _what_ people have been doing (on web sites) for a long while and much longer for software. While there’s a statement here, mostly I am seeking clarification. Or, perhaps, I need to relearn my reading comprehension (which given the low-level of coffee in my system is a possibility).
